Overall at this point, I would recommend the Hyatt Regency instead, although with time, these issues will more than likely be resolved. One bartender particularly seemed like she hated her job. Not sure why they have such an attitude towards guests. Housekeeping staff was friendly though, so I think this may just be opening month logistics. Did not clean the room on two of my nights. Just 2 blocks from the French Quarter, this hotel offers accommodations in a restored 19th century building. The building itself is a refurbished historical site that dates back to the late 1800s where they kept much of the original brick work. Had a great check-in experience and the front desk staff was delightful. Great fitness center with treadmills, ellipticals, dumbbells, cable machine, and enough open space for yoga/stretching/etc.
Location is close enough to everything to walk to and far enough from the messiness.
Originally booked at the Hyatt Regency, but stayed here for three nights since it was just opening! The hard product (the hotel facilities, rooms, etc) were amazing.
